I Could Only Record Two Shows at Once

February 6th, 2015

When it gets too hard to watch TV because there are just too many good things on at the same time, it is time to do something. TV watching is supposed to be something that is enjoyable rather than mass chaos. I had cable TV, but it simply was not working out for me. On any given night, there are at least three or four shows on that have scheduling conflicts. Even though I had a DVR package with my cable subscription, I was only able to record two programs at once.

It got to the point where I had to choose between favorite shows, and I simply did not want to give any of them up. I knew that I could watch a couple of the shows online, and I could possibly pick some of the others up on reruns later in the week. It was just too complicated though, and I ended up missing several of my shows because of this. My friend has DirecTV, and she told me that she is able to record up to six programs at once. The most I would want to record at once is just four, but I knew that could change if more great shows were put on the schedule.

I decided to check into DirecTV just because of this, but I discovered that there is a lot more going for it other than being able to record six different shows at the same time. I would be getting more programming choices with DirecTV at a lower rate, and I would even be able to get channels that I could not get otherwise. It did not take very long at all to decide that switching to DirecTV would be the best choice I could make, so that is exactly what I did.
